Tarantula Hawk

The Tarantula Hawk is the largest North American wasp. It also has the second most painful sting of any insect on the planet. This lady will hunt down a tarantula to sting and paralyze with her excruciating venom. She will then drag the spider to her den to lay a single egg. The resulting larva will then eat the still living tarantula from the inside out. Once finished, it will emerge from the spider as a fully formed Tarantula Hawk to carry on the cycle.
